Located near Tulum (about 5km before). This is part of the Grupo Xcaret family… and it is all adventure in the water.

As stated this is all water fun. You can start by snorkeling in a river surrounded by mangroves, whose waters mix with the cove’s and flow into the Caribbean Sea. Put on your snorkeling equipment and get ready to see the marine inhabitants of the cove, walk on rope games, and ride zip lines into refreshing waters.

For this you have to go all the way up to the start of the river, in the mangroves, get a life jacket, snorkeling equipment or an inflatable tube and jump right in the water. You can do this by walking, biking or in a bus.

On your way down (approximately 2 hours without actually swimming, the flow will take you down) you will find the cliff of courage, five meters tall, that you can climb and then jump back into the water. You will also find activities that require coordination, strength, and endurance, in zip lines, swings, parallel ropes, and more.

From any point of Xel-Há you can admire unparalleled landscapes of jungle, crystal clear waters, and receive the sun, but it is the Scenic Lighthouse, 40 m (131 ft) tall, the point that brings you closer to the sky, so you can admire panoramic views of nature in all its splendor… make sure that you use the amazing water slides on your way down (one really fast and one slower)

You can see different species of land and sea animals while enjoying fun activities for all ages. In addition, throughout your visit you can enjoy buffets serving Mexican and international food, as well as a domestic open bar, since this is an all-inclusive activity.

Some people ask us, that if we had to choose between Xcaret and Xel-Ha which one would you choose. Our answer is always the same: depends on what do you enjoy the most.

Xel-ha is all water nature and adventure, it is water all day long. Big river that you snorkel or enjoy the ride while watching the fish, cenotes, water slides, dolphins, beach, natural pools, zip lines, big jumps into the water, rope bridges, etc…

Xcaret is kind of a theme park, it involves not only nature but cultural things, Mayan traditions, Mexican traditions, although it has some water involved and some “adventure” this is a place where you will learn about Mexico while having tons of fun. (if you like please read our entry about Xcaret for more information)

So basically, depends on what you want to do.

Things to consider.

1.- This is an all inclusive activity.

2.- You will have to leave all your stuff in a locker since you are going to be in your bathing suit all day long.

3.- Bring extra cash or credit cards for pictures, souvenirs and extra activities.
